Understanding our Connectedness through Statistics
EIGHTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE UPSTATE CHAPTERS OF THE AMERICAN STATISTICAL ASSOCIATION
The University of Rochester is proud to host the 2019 UP-STAT conference, taking place here in Rochester, NY on April 26th-27th. You won’t want to miss this annual celebration of Statistical Science and Data Science that has, for eight consecutive years, revitalized the statistical dynamics of Upstate New York.
This year’s theme will be ‘Understanding our Connectedness through Statistics,’ a broad topic that will explore the ways in which our lives are interconnected through the prevalence of social media, global computer networks, IoT, and other online systems.
Come join us and share the joy of statistical science and data science!
This event will feature:
- A friendly forum for statisticians, applied mathematicians, computer scientists, engineers, and data scientists from upstate New York and all its neighboring regions.
- A keynote speech on opportunities for innovation in data science by ASA President-Elect Prof. Dr. Wendy Martinez.
- Enlightening panels and tutorials on this year’s theme: Understanding our Interconnectedness Through Statistics.
- A signature Data Analytics Competition, a favorite of the UP-STAT conference series.
- Networking opportunities
